Lumber

Our lumber department leverages both Alpines size and strong vendor relationships to buy mill direct and from key specialty wholesalers. Our size allows us to buy direct carloads with a capacity of 3000 plus cars per year at our two reloading facilities. Many of our vendors have been with us since our inception and those strong and loyal ties allows Alpine to maximize purchasing opportunities at all levels. We currently source lumber from both the Western United States and Canada with our main focus being the Inland Region of Idaho; well known for the quality appearance of its timber and stable characteristics of the wood.

Alpine Lumber Company's Truss Divisions in Commerce City and Montrose, manufacture high quality structural components for the construction industry. Products and services include takeoff, engineering, design and delivery of wood roof trusses, timber trusses, floor trusses and pre-built stairs. Our TJ-Experts provide design, engineering and layout service for Trus-Joist products.

T.J.I. Takeoffs

Using TJ-Xpert software, our Alpine design center personnel are able to guide you through the technical aspects of Trus-Joist products. We can size I-Joists (roof or floor), beams, headers and other structural members while providing detailed placement drawings with instructions for installation. Our software allows us to double-check engineering to insure that all loads are accounted for and to suggest alternate framing designs when appropriate from cost or construction viewpoints.

Professional Estimating

Alpine estimators and contractor sales staff utilize Professional Estimating software from Enterprise to provide fast and accurate material take-offs from your blueprints. The software digitizing equipment allows us to digitally measure the various framing sections of blueprints and then converts that information into a material list customized to the products we stock. Additionally, Professional Estimating software is integrated with Alpine’s point of sale software to generate for our customers, priced quotes, orders and timely and accurate bills of material.
